Here are some pictures from our Valentine's Day. Ceili "helped" me make Daddy cupcakes on Tuesday since it was a snow day from work. I thought we better do it on Tuesday since I didn't know how much time we would have Wednesday when I got home from work - then I ended up not going in to work on Wednesday either. Oh well...Justin didn't care which day we made them! We actually made them in these heart-shaped cupcake molds...but after they baked they didn't really look so much like hearts. Sorry honey - we tried!! We didn't do a whole lot for Valentine's Day - just spent time together! Ceili LOVED her new toys we got her and couldn't get enough of our cupcakes!! She cracked me up - wouldn't pick it up to eat, so she just leaned over and ate it straight off the table...SO CUTE!! Ceili was in such a silly mood that day - we had been trapped inside for 2 days because of the snow!! She made such a mess with her cupcake - and LOVED being able to lick her fingers!! What a funny girl she is these days!! We hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day!!
Our best friends have two little boys, Thomas & Nathan, who you've seen on the blog quite a bit. Nathan just turned ONE on February 9th...so hard to believe!! It seems like just the other day, we were all sitting in the waiting room, anxiously waiting for them to wheel him by on his way to the nursery. My how time flies!! Adam & Sarah asked me to take pictures of Nathan to capture him as he turned one. I was going to try to get some pictures of the boys together, but Thomas was just not having it that day - silly boy!! He just wanted to play with Ceili the whole time. I think we got some good shots of this oh-so-handsome little boy!! It is so easy to get pictures of him smiling...he is such a happy boy! 
We had Jamie's baby shower at our house on February 3rd - we've been a little busy...sorry the pictures are so late! Jamie had a great turn out and she got tons of great gifts! I think Jamie and Matt are just about ready for Baby Carter to enter this world! Just a couple more weeks and we will all get to meet Baby Carter! We can't wait - Ceili is so excited to meet Baby "Tarter" as she calls him!! I hope Jamie enjoyed her shower - I know she will enjoy using all of her new things!
You can't tell these 2 are related, can you?? It's funny how strong genes are. This little boy's name is Silas, and he is my third cousin's son. Does this make them fourth cousins then?!?! We grew up close to my mom's cousin (Pam) and her family, so we always just looked at her kids as our first cousins rather than third. I never realized how strong genes are until Beth and I had Silas and Ceili so close together. Silas is about 1 1/2 months older than Ceili...and there sure are some traits (and good looks!)that have been passed on through generations I guess!! His big sister, Ella, is just as adorable but I couldn't get the three of them in the same picture!! I just think it's crazy how similar they look, being so far apart on the family tree!!
Jamie & Matt asked me to take pictures for them last weekend to capture the beauty of pregnancy. I was soooo excited because I had never taken maternity pictures before, so this was all new to me!! I think they turned out really nice - I hope they think so too. Jamie's shower is this weekend and it won't be too long before Baby Carter makes his grand entrance!! We are all so excited to meet the little baby boy!! Jamie and Matt will make excellent parents - I can't wait to watch them go through all of the "new parent" experiences!!
