Trick-or-Treat!!

Ceili is such a big girl these days!! She just wanted to be with the big kids, our neighbor Hannah in particular, as we went trick-or-treating around the neighborhood!! Too bad her legs are just a little too short to keep up for too long - eventually, we just stayed back and Mommy went up to the houses with her! She had so much fun and got way too much candy - she couldn't even carry her bucket towards the end because it was too full!! Below are some pictures of Ceili on her Trick-or-Treat Adventure this year!! Below, she made her first stop at our neighbor's house - she knocked on their door, then looked in the window and yelled "It's just me!!" Of course, our neighbor is also Ceili's boyfriend, so he had to make sure he spoiled her rotten - with a couple candy necklaces and a multitude of suckers...thanks Brian!!
Of course, I had to get a shot of her backside in this costume - how cute is that?!?!
Here she is with our neighbor Hannah - what a good sport Hannah was for holding Ceili's hand and staying with her...for the first few houses at least!!
And, last but not least, here is Ceili as she eats her way through the Trick-or-Treating...you can't have all of that good stuff in your bucket and NOT eat any of it, right?!?! She decided to eat her Oreos - good choice, I must say!!

Busy Weekend!

Ceili got to spend an entire weekend with some of her favorite people - all of her aunties and uncles, cousins and of course, Nana and Papaw!! It is so nice when we are all able to get together at the same time - usually at least one of us is missing, but not this past weekend!! Ceili's Auntie Nawna & her family as well as her Auntie A all were able to come "home" for the weekend!! We started Saturday out with a trip to Ceili's gymnastics then headed off to the Pumpkin Patch at Watermans Orchard. We used to go there as little ones and pick strawberries, so it was pretty neat for all of us to go back and take our little ones there to pick out their pumpkins!! We were able to get a few pictures in before Ceili decided (as most 2 year olds do) to do exactly what her Nana and Mommy told her NOT to do...step in a huge rotten pumpkin! I turned around to find her with both feet (up to her ankles) stuck in rotten pumpkin...and she just said "Uh-oh! I need help!" So, needless to say, Ceili spent the rest of the trip to the Pumpkin Patch in her shirt, pull-up and crocs - what a look!!
Ceili, right before she stepped in the rotten pumpkin...
And shortly after...
Once we had been home to relax for a bit and ate some chili and cornbread at our house, we headed out to Conner Prairie to go on the Headless Horseman Hayride. The kids had a great time - Ceili even wanted to go on the hayride again!! She was a little afraid of the "scary horse" and kept reminding us throughout the rest of the evening that we needed to watch out for the scary horse because he would get us!!
Stay tuned...pictures of our Pumpkin Carving Extravaganza coming soon!!!

Pumpkin Patch

In celebration of finding out that Ceili is going to have a baby brother, we decided to take her to the Pumpkin Patch on the 12th. We spent the afternoon chasing Ceili through the pumpkin patch and trying to find that "perfect" pumpkin! She just cracked us up - she had so much fun picking the pumpkins out and was such a typical girl when it came to trying to decide too...so indecisive! We had a great time hanging out with our little girl and celebrating the baby brother she will welcome into our family in a few months! She already loves him so much - wanting to hug and kiss him every morning!!
Ceili loved running through the pumpkin patch and would just yell "Come on, guys!!" as she ran down the path! She would stop every once in a while to make sure we were still following, then turn and continue on her way!

Our Family

We have not had a family photo for a VERY long time...so while I was taking pictures for my sister and her family, I had her snap a couple of our little family too.

Below are some pictures of Ceili being Ceili - the 2 year old little girl that does not want to look at the camera...no matter what you try to bribe her with!! But...every once in a while we are able to get a smile AND her looking at the camera!! Here are a few of her we were able to get that day...

Another Photogenic Senior...

This was another fun session with another fun senior! It's amazing how it still looks like summer outside at this time of year - surely we will have some fall-looking leaves one day soon! It was so hard to choose my favorites, so here are more than a few to check out!

Vacation Pictures Part 2

On our way home from Hilton Head, we decided to stop and stay in Asheville, NC and visit the Biltmore Estate. Nana, Papaw, Auntie Mamie, Uncle Matt and Baby Carter made the trip with us. We had never been to the Estate before, and it more amazing than I ever could have imagined! The Estate is the largest home in America - kind of hard to believe none of the celebrities or athletes in the U.S. have built homes larger than this, but they haven't! Too bad we couldn't take pictures inside the house, because it was unbelievable! If you are ever in the Asheville, NC area, be sure to take the time to go through the house and the Gardens!

The Gardens were absolutely beautiful...which meant a lot of great opportunities for picture-taking!! Below are some pictures we took while we walked through the Gardens...in 100 degree weather!! Boy was it HOT that day!!
