Ceili's New Friend...

This beautiful little girl is the niece of a friend from work. She just turned two, so we headed out to a nearby park to capture her at this fun age!! She was so much fun and such a perfect little model!! Ceili absolutely adored her and just wanted to hold her hand the entire time (see pictures at the bottom). It was so cute watching the two of them together...they are just a few months apart and are so much alike that it's scary! We had a lot of fun taking her pictures - she is so photogenic!

Something New...

My cousin Julie is in Perry Meridian's Winter Color Guard and had their State competition yesterday. My aunt asked me if I would go take pictures of her so they would have some shots of this experience. This is not something I had done before and didn't know how the pictures would turn out, but they trusted me to get some good shots. It was really neat to watch the guard perform - Julie did a great job, of course!! And, now that Winterguard is over...we get to use her (& her twin sister Beth of course) to babysit so Justin and I can go out by ourselves for a change!! Ceili just loves both of them and will have so much fun...she won't even notice Mommy & Daddy are gone!!!

Spring has sprung!!

It seemed like overnight our flowers began blooming...and haven't stopped!! Two days ago we had some green popping up and now we've got an entire bed of yellow and purple flowers! Ceili was really excited to see them in our flower bed today...and, of course, she had to see if they smelled good!! Ceili is in the "MY" phase right now, so she just kept telling me "Mommy, my flowers!" & "I like flowers!" I look forward to watching our yard, as the rest of our flowers begin to bloom. I was so excited to have a sign of spring that I thought I would share! Looks like we're off to a beautiful spring!!

Carter Matthew Part 2

Jamie & Matt asked me to take some pictures for them of their beautiful baby boy. He is so sweet and absolutely perfect, as you can tell from all of these photos!! I could just sit there and hold Carter all day long...soooo cozy!! This family of three is just gorgeous!! I can't wait to watch them grow as a family! It is going to be so much fun watching Carter grow and explore this big wide world we have!! So many places to go & things to do...

Diaper Days...

Some kids have Jammies Days...Ceili has Diaper Days!! She loves to run around in just her diaper, and I think it is sooo cute! Her diaper is about the only thing that still shows that she is not TOTALLY grown up! She has become such a big girl these past couple of months and is really a toddler now...even though she will always be my baby!! She has started potty training and doesn't like to keep her diaper on once she's gone potty in it - what a big girl!! She is such a ham these days and I think these pictures really depict the silly girl she has become!

Ceili LOVES her "peen toes" (aka "pink toes"). She asks me to paint them for her and she actually sits still until we're done and doesn't touch them until I say so!! She is such a girly girl...painted toes, purses and lipstick!! I just love her little painted toes, so I thought we'd share them with you all!

Ceili absolutely adores her Daddy...I had to capture this moment on camera!! So sweet!!
Ceili has so many faces she makes - each one of them so different from the rest, but just as cute and sweet! I love all of the different faces she makes, so I thought I'd share a few of my blue-eyed girl!
Our little girl's favorite pasttime is reading her books. She could sit and read her books all day long! There are even quite a few books she has memorized what we say on the pages (or at least parts of what we say on each page). She'll bring a book to me and say "Mommy, you read" so I read it to her. Then, she'll take it back and say "Mommy, I read." She will turn each page and say something I said from that page. It's so funny watching and listening to her "read" the books. Sometimes she makes up her own stories, which are always a riot to listen to!! I don't think I've ever seen a child love to read as much as she does!!

Carter Matthew Wynberry

I am soooo excited to annouce the birth of my new nephew, Carter Matthew Wynberry! Carter was born on February 23, 2007 at 2:37 am. He weighed in at 6 lbs 13 oz and measured 20 in long! He is absolutely gorgeous!! We are all so happy for Jamie and Matt - they will be wonderful parents! We look forward to watching their family grow. It will be so much fun to watch Jamie and Matt grow as parents as Carter explores our great big world! Congratulations Jamie & Matt! We love you three!!

There are now FIVE grandchildren in our family...aren't they all just beautiful?!?! Ceili loves Baby Carter, even though she keeps calling him Keira! Below, Ceili is searching for Carter's hand, saying "Hello..." This is a game we play when we put her shirts on and her hand gets stuck...it's cute to watch her play the game with him now!!

Here are the only two boys...now Ty has someone on his side - the boys need to stick together!!

More snow...

Well, we hadn't taken any "family" photos for a while, so we headed to the nearby park and set up the tripod!! It was a beautiful day...warm enough to not wear coats and the snow was still around so we could get some decent shots! Ceili loves the snow & just wanted to play...so we picked a couple of pinecones for her to play with (& keep her happy)! She loved them...but once they touched the snow, she wanted to pick a new one that was still "snow-free." It was fun to watch her play and explore the world around her!!

Ceili loved playing peek-a-boo through this tree...although when she says it, it sounds more like "pee-boo!!" She cracks us up all the time...her vocabulary is just incredible and she puts words together so well to make sentences now!! What a big girl she is becoming!! Right now, her favorite phrase is "I like it!!"

Before we left, Ceili had to pick one more pinecone to take home with us...she was so happy to be able to take one in the car with us...it's amazing the little things that make her day!!
