Happy Turkey Day!!

While Daddy was at work last weekend, Ceili and I decided to make cards for Thanksgiving...and it was a lot of fun!! Ceili LOVES painting at school and always likes to paint her hands to make handprints, so what could be more perfect of a craft for us to do but to make turkeys out of her handprints?!?! She thought it was really cool and could have made them all day...if Mommy's back could have taken any more of it! Here are just a few pictures of our fun craft and how her little hand print turned out.
This is a time to remember just what we have to be thankful for, and there is more to be thankful for than I could ever describe. We are so thankful to be part of such great families and have such an awesome network of friends and people who genuinely care, not only for us, but for Ceili as well (and Keaton of course)! We have been blessed to have good health ourselves as well as have a healthy, beautiful and sweet daughter - she is more than we ever could have imagined and we are so lucky and proud to say that we are her Mommy and Daddy!! And we can't wait to add our little baby boy in just a couple of months - we are more blessed than we ever could have imagined!! Justin and I have always been thankful for our faith - we met through our faith and that has been what our relationship has been based upon for the last 7 (almost) years! Never did I think I would be lucky enough to find a man that shares my beliefs and is genuine in his thoughts and feelings - I am so thankful that I was led to go on that retreat that weekend...little did I know I would be meeting my Mr. Right there!! There are too many times we don't remind ourselves of what we are thankful for, and I am always amazed at Thanksgiving at all the things I can think of...it's nice to remind yourself when you think things aren't going right! So, my house is NEVER spotless...but I am thankful that we have a house and that it is LIVED in. If it was always spotless, I would feel like it was empty and lonely - having toys on the floor and finger smudges on the sliding glass door and kitchen table remind me not only of how lucky we are to have a house but also how lucky we are to have a happy 2 year old who loves to make a mess!! And it always seems like we've got such a long list of "to-do's" - but, I am thankful that we have the means to do those "to-do's" and projects around the house and yard. And we only have a few close friends...but those are the closest and best friends anyone could ask for!! So, to all of our friends and family that check this blog regularly like a loyal audience - THANK YOU for all you do and for being such huge parts of our lives! We love each and every one of you! Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Below is a picture of Ceili and her Daddy on their way out the door to her "My Guy and I" feast at her preschool. It was a special night for the two of them - this was the first time they had actually gone and done something without me there!! Ceili has the best Daddy - he even brought her a bouquet of roses for their date!! That's why I love him - because he thinks of the little things that a lot of men wouldn't!! He is such a great Daddy and Ceili just absolutely adores him (not to mention, she's got him wrapped around her itty bitty finger!!)!!

More Leaves

Our little girl just loves the leaves!! Here are a few pictures of her from this past weekend, just having fun - smiling, laughing and singing with Mommy and Daddy! I just love pictures of her belly laugh - her squinty eyes, huge smile and chubby cheeks!! You just can't help smiling when you look at those pictures!!

Fun in the Leaves

Since the leaves were falling and Daddy was going to cut the grass, we decided to rake the leaves up and let Ceili jump in them...over and over and over again!! She had so much fun that she tried telling Daddy to not get her leaves with the mower!! But before we could go out (and before she would let me take her picture), she had to have a drink of her sprite (above). This (below) is the result of letting her drink her sprite before I started taking pictures!!And here are a few pictures of our little girl having fun in the leaves...

Then, she decided she wanted to play in the trees and the logs Daddy has piled up for firewood...

FAMILY Part 2

In an effort to get some family pictures for my sister, we headed out to the nearby park where the leaves were absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! We were able to get some really good pictures with EVERYONE looking and smiling, which is a huge accomplishment with a 9 year old, a 5 year old and a 9 month old!! We also got some shots of Keira for her 9 month pictures - what a happy baby she is, even when she's a little under the weather!
Isn't she just a doll?! My how I love her beautiful smile - just lights up the room and melts my heart!!

FAMILY

My sister and her husband were wanting some autumn-looking family photos, so we headed out in search for LEAVES!! While we were at it, we grabbed a few of Carter - what a big boy standing in the tree by himself!!!
This one is so sweet, and it is the typical Carter - thumb in mouth!!

As Promised...

After we took Ceili to the pumpkin patch, we sat down at the kitchen table and began carving our pumpkins! Ceili loved being able to help draw and "design" the looks of our pumpkins, but she wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with the pumpkin guts!! Above are the finished products, in order - Ceili said we needed a pumpkin for Keaton and she made sure to tell me that he shouldn't have teeth!! She has been including him in just about everything we do - let's just hope she continues to do that once he is born!!
Ceili was so proud of her pumpkin - I think it's the best-looking pumpkin in the world!!
Below are some shots I took of our Halloween decorations - thought I'd share. Ceili really enjoyed all of the decorations...except for the speaker hooked up to the door mat - she would practically do the splits to get in and out of the front door just so that she wouldn't have to step on the doormat! Silly girl!
