not lost, just forgotten...

Here are a couple of pictures from the 4th of July...I totally forgot to post these!! I don't know where my mind has gone these days! We didn't do a whole lot on the 4th because it looked like it was going to be a cool and rainy day...so we headed out to the nearest picture show (by that, I mean movies) and saw Ratatouille with Nana, Papaw, Auntie Mamie, Uncle Matt and baby Carter. It was such a cute movie - Ceili LOVED it!! Anyways, I had to take Ceili's picture in her dress that day, of course! So here they are!

We took Ceili to the pool last Monday, which was an adventure from the start! We only had about 2 hours of "free" time to go, so we planned on being there at 11:30. We got all ready and Ceili was excited, so we drove down there...just to find out they had changed the pool hours!! They weren't going to open until noon, so we had to convince Ceili to go home for half an hour before we could go back down, which was hard to do in itself. Then, once we got down to the pool, we arrived just in time to find out that a goose had decided to go swimming in the big pool and wouldn't get out. Luckily, though, Ceili and I could still get in the baby pool while Daddy tried to chase the goose out of the pool area, which took about 30 minutes...which left us with about 30 minutes before we had to go home. Since the goose had gotten in the big pool, it needed to be shocked and treated before anyone could get in...so needless to say, we hung out at the baby pool for a little while and then decided to go home once all of the big kids started throwing buckets of water across the baby pool. All in all, Ceili had a good time, and that is what matters!!
Ceili LOVES sunglasses, especially Mommy's!! She usually puts them on upside-down, but she actually got mine on correctly this time! She puts them on, says "Mommy, look at me...COOL DUDE!!" Doesn't she look like a movie star?!

Big Sister...

This little girl is so proud to be a big sister...she just wanted to keep holding him!!

Ceili and Madi were actually born on the same day, at the same hospital...in fact, we were right next to one another in our post partum rooms!! Madi is full of energy and LOVES to dance!!

Little Isaac was as sweet as can be...staying in a good mood just long enough for us to get some pictures of him!!

After the session was over, Isaac decided it was finally nap time! I guess it's hard work being such a cute baby!!

Ceili's Birthday

Well...I thought I'd go ahead and post some pictures of Ceili's birthday festivities in order to keep my audience happy...this is for you Georgiann!!

Our little girl is not so little anymore...I can't believe she is 2 years old now!! Time goes by so fast - it does not seem like it's been 2 years since we were leaving the hospital as nervous new parents...and now we're old pros!! Ceili has brought so much joy to our lives that I don't think I could ever express the love we have for our little sunshine. Her smile could melt your heart...and those blue eyes are so hard to get upset with!! She is always there to give us hugs and kisses if we've had a bad day...and she can tell by just looking at us when we need them. She looks up and says "What's matter, Mama?" Then she'll come over and give me a hug and kiss and say "I love you, Mama!!" as she gently pats my back!! She is seriously the sweetest 2 year old I know! I love talking to her in the car - and actually having her carry on the conversation with me nowadays! I love watching and listening to her play with her babydolls and put them to bed as she gives them kisses and tells them "Night, Night Baby." It's so hard to believe that she is ONLY 2 sometimes with the things she says or does. But, at the same time, I can't believe she is not a baby anymore. Every new stage she enters in her life is so much better than the one before - I can't wait to watch her grow and experience what life has in store for her...I just hope it doesn't all go by too fast! Looking back, this reminds me of how precious life is and to take a moment (or many moments) and relax and just take it all in, enjoying the people around you.

Well, enough of my mind spilling out on here and onto the birthday fun...

Since Ceili's birthday was during the week, we decided to have a few people go to Chuck E. Cheese's with us that night to celebrate Ceili as she turned 2! She LOVES playing at Chuck E. Cheese's...and gets really excited when the tickets come out of the games!! Here are a few pictures from her celebration there...

Then, Saturday we had Ceili's actual birthday party...crayons were the them this year! Ceili absolutely LOVES to draw, color and "write her name" (really she just spells it out loud as she draws circles on the paper!!). We thought that a crayon themed party fit her perfectly!!

At first, Ceili didn't know what to think of people singing to her...but then she realized it was fun and decided she liked it! And...she loved blowing out the candles and couldn't wait to get her hands on one of those crayons!!

Below are just a few pictures of everyone hanging out at the party. The first is of Ceili and Tommy (who will probably be best friends forever...or until they decide the opposite sex has cooties!!)

I am still waiting on a nice day to do Ceili's outdoor birthday pictures, but here are some of the pictures we took on a rainy day for her 2 year pictures. She gave me about 10 minutes to snap some before she wasn't interested anymore and wanted to watch Curious George...I think they turned out pretty good for 10 minutes of work!!

The guys decided to go biking for the day on a trail in Brown County, so us girls decided to take the kids to Mom and Dad's and go for a swim. I think they all had a good time...eventhough the water wasn't quite warm enough for us Mommies!!
Nana made the kids some homemade popsicles...and boy did they like them!!!
