Snow Baby

When we woke up this morning and saw snow, I was so excited to take Ceili outside and let her play! This, obviously, was her first time to play in the snow - and she absolutely LOVED it!! Justin pulled her around in her new sled and every time he would stop for just a second, she would scream "MORE!!" She even fell face first into the snow and got up and wanted more...what a trooper!! She would have stayed out there all day if we would have let her - we had to bribe her with a cookie to get her to come back inside because her little cheeks were getting so red!! I can't wait to take her out in the snow again - I am so glad she liked it...now it just needs to snow a couple more times so she can play again.

Too Cold to Play Outside...

It has not been warm enough to play outside the past couple of days...but every time she has her coat & hat on, she goes to the back door because she wants to go slide. Hopefully soon it will warm up enough to play outside again...we miss going to the playground!!

Dr. Ceili M. von Buchler

Ceili received her doctor's kit from her Auntie Mamie & Uncle Matt for Christmas and LOVES playing with it. She has been walking around the house with her stethoscope draped around her neck...but then gets frustrated because she cannot figure out how to take it off (they must teach that in Med School)! She is becoming quite the expert at checking reflexes and heartbeats...maybe we've got a doctor in the making!!

Cookies!!

So Ceili has developed a sweet tooth and has been loving "tookies" (aka "cookies") lately...so I thought I'd take some pictures (imagine that, I know). It was just too perfect - the sun was shining in through the kitchen doors and she was sitting right there eating, looking out at the backyard...so cute!!

New Life Part 2

Our mom stayed out in OH with Shawna, Don and Keira last week to help out during her first week home. Mom needed a ride home, so Jamie, Ceili and I used that as an excuse to go out and see them again this past weekend. She is just such a beautiful baby girl - I could just hold her and stare at her for hours on end!! I had the opportunity to take some photos for them - my first photos of a newborn!! It was a lot of fun, and I think we got some really good shots! Here are some of my favorites (it was hard to choose)! We had a great time with them this past weekend - it never gets easier leaving when it comes time. We already miss them dearly and can't wait to see them in a few weeks when they come in town for Jamie's baby shower!! I hope you all enjoy the photos - I may be biased but I think she is one of the most beautiful babies I've ever seen!! I love you so much Baby Keira!!

This is Keira swaddled in the afghan our Granny made for her and relaxing in the cradle our Papa Bob made for us girls to sleep in as babies, and now our babies get to sleep in it! Ceili has gotten to sleep in it as a newborn, now Keira and next Carter!! I think it's neat that we have this to pass around - thanks Papa Bob!!

All 4 grandchildren (so far)...all of them already love Keira (Teewa as Ceili says it) and can't get enough of her!

New Life...

I am extremely excited to announce that Shawna and Don have had their baby girl, Keira Hollyn Magers!! She was born on Friday, January 5th at 7:13am, weighing in at 6 lbs 6 oz and measuring 19.5 in long! She is absolutely beautiful and doing great, as are Mommy and Daddy! Here are some pictures of her first couple of days - I can't wait to go see them again next weekend! Stay tuned for more pictures...
