It has taken me FOREVER to get around to putting my own pictures on the blog...so here are a TON of pictures from vacation!! I figured since you all have waited so long to see them, I would put plenty on here for you to look at! So go grab a snack, sit back, relax and enjoy!!
Ceili absolutely LOVED the beach - she just couldn't get enough and still asks weekly if we can go back to the beach!! She has become such a big girl these days, and she just jumped right in and hung out with Shae and Ty as if she was 5 or 6 years old! Below, the three of them each took a turn holding a starfish we found - how cool are they?!
Ceili was hanging out with Shae and Ty by the pool (in her nightgown). I went inside for 2 minutes and came back outside to find her playing out by the pool in absolutely nothing!! She ran around naked for quite some time before I could convince her to put her suit on - what a goofy girl!!
My little girl has suddenly become such a Daddy's Little Girl the past couple of months. As much as it breaks my heart sometimes, I think it is so sweet and love watching her with her Daddy, whom she just adores so much! (I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual - she has got her Daddy wrapped around her little pinky!!) Our house was on a lagoon and there was a dock where the guys would fish any chance they got...and guess who was right behind Daddy every time he went down there!! Below are a few pictures of Daddy and his Little Girl...and then a picture of Ceili telling me how big the fish was they caught! (I believe she learned to exaggerate throughout this vacation too - she was definitely around the guys while they were fishing WAY too much!!)
As much as Ceili hates for her hands to be dirty, she didn't mind having them covered in mucky sand one bit!! She had fun playing in the sand with Papaw - he taught her how to bury her feet in the sand and she thought that was the coolest thing ever!!
Below is Keira, being her normal smiley self while she sits back and relaxes as we sightsee our way through Savannah!! How sweet his her smile?!
And here is Carter, sleeping soundly on a blanket by the ocean...with his thumb in place!! I just think it is too adorable when he sucks his thumb!!!
Ceili had her first putt-putt experience in Hilton Head, and let's just say she couldn't have cared less about the rules!! She had fun though, and that's all that matters!!
We all went into Savannah for the day and did some shopping and a lot of sight-seeing, which meant a lot of photo-opps for Auntie Holly! Shae and Ty are so good - they are always more than willing for me to take their pictures any time I am around! Ty and Papaw are so strong that they are actually holding this huge anchor up all on their own - can you believe it?!
As I said, Ceili absolutely LOVED going to the beach and playing in the sand and water! However, her favorite part of playing in the sand was knocking the sandcastles down!! Justin and Ty would spend their time making the castles look perfect, and Ceili would take no time at all knocking them all down!!
A total surprise to me, Ceili LOVED the waves!! The last day we went to the beach, there were enormous waves that just kept coming one after another. I really figured Ceili would hate it and not want to be in the water, but instead, she just kept laughing and clapping and wanting more waves!! She cracked me up, because she (the 2 year old out there) was making sure everyone else was OK in between waves...saying "You OK Papaw?" and "Be careful Uncle Matt!" What a great big sister she will be here in a few months!!
Ceili loves her Nana and Papaw and had so much fun hanging out with them for an entire week!! I love watching her interact with my parents - such a neat relationship she has with them!!
And...here are the GRANDKIDS!!! All of them had such a good time on vacation - I can't wait for the future family vacations with everyone!!! It is so much fun watching the 5 of them together - they are all so close and have such a neat bond!! And...not to mention, they ARE the 5 cutest kids in the world!!
I will have more pictures to post from our journey home...we made a pitstop in Asheville, NC and went to the Biltmore Estate with Nana, Papaw, Auntie Mamie, Uncle Matt and Carter. Stay tuned for those coming up soon...
